What the What?!?! Yes… this figure has finally come to fruition as Jesse Hernandez shared today this sweet picture you see in this post… a beautiful clear resin OZOMAHTLI cast up by TaskOne of We Are Not Toys. We teased a post HERE back in April… and now we are seeing it all come together. 13 separate parts had to be cast for this, and it turned out so sick! Jesse mentions that this will see the light of day for Dcon 2017, so mark your calendars and get ready… this is one release you don’t want to miss!
David Stevenson announced last week that he recently relaunched his web store with lots of current and new pieces. This also includes his new enamel reaper pins created in collaboration with the guys at Creamlab… and yeah, that awesome custom Mecha Azteca (originally created by Jesse Hernandez), is up for grabs as well. Check that out, so rad! On top of the other great stuff available in his store, David also just debut his very own Patreon page. Here you can show your support for his work, help him achieve new goals as an artist, get exclusive content, early access to all his releases and much more. Go HERE to support!
Whoa, what’s this sweet little teaser… the folks over at We Are Not Toys posted the above photo with the caption “Just about done molding 13 pieces for one figure…” and yes, that’s the vinyl version of Jesse Hernandez’s “Obsidian” Ozomahtli in those molds… so we can expect to see a badass version of this monkey god in the near future cast up in resin. No word on what colorways are going to happen, but with resin, the world is your oyster… so we can’t wait to see what comes of this! More soon… but check out the vinyl version of this figure below… and let your mind wander 🙂
Utilizing the already bad ass “Death Serpent” vinyl figure designed by Jesse Hernandez, Rob aka Ink Visuals took this platform and ran with a “Dia De Los Muertos” theme… and above is the result! Featuring tons of texture, patterns, and paint along with 100% Swarovski crystals and hemp cord… all of these customs are always on point… so cool! This was a private commission, but Rob’s commission list is always open – hit him up via his website HERE!
Poposition Press recently teased the above image… a sneak peek at things to come from artist Jesse Hernandez, and hot damn does that pop-up look rad! Featuring Jesse’s Urban Aztec art flair and color stylings, some dragon/mictlan/deathserpent mixed into this one – we really have no idea what this is for… but we can’t wait to find out! More soon…

A new resin collectible from Jesse Hernandez?!?! Yes indeed!!! Releasing in the very near future, the new “Jaguar Skull” will be up for grabs, and hot damn do they look good! 3D sculpted by Luis Zuleta and produced by Silent Stage Gallery, the first edition will be that bitchen clear “Blood Red” colorway that you see above. Measuring 7″ tall and a touch larger sideways, the image that you see above is before the final gloss coat… so expect them to be GLASS when they are ready to ship! More news on the release and price when we get it!
The folks over at Broke Piggy have teamed up with MAD to bring together some of the best graffiti artists in our industry to paint on some special hand-made plaster 5” Brick Wall MADLs… and if you remember, we posted up a teaser HERE showing a glimpse of what these artists will be working with! From MAD: “The artists involved have deep personal understanding of how influential graffiti art has been in the art & toy world. You might even go as far as saying that the “art toy” foundation comes from the art we did back in the day, and clearly defines our styles in our current work. That’s why this exhibition hits home for me, and why I’m excited to share it with you. It’s a great blend of both worlds on the MADL platform.” Featuring customs from: MAD, Jesse Hernandez, kaNO, Sket One, DEPH, Scribe, Marka27, and Angry Woebots… these customs will be sure to turn some heads on the convention floor during DCon! That being said, the Broke Piggy booth #527 will be jammed packed with this show as well as many other rad items… put them on your ‘must visit list’! More soon… maybe some sneak peeks!!!
Back in December of 2014, we posted some unfortunate news about Kidrobot canceling plans to make another 8″ Dunny designed by artist Jesse Hernandez… the “Tlaloc Dunny“, and it really hasn’t set well with the community, and that’s why some fans went and started an online petition to hopefully get the attention of Kidrobot to go through with the production on this rad looking figure! Weill it help, who knows… but, what will it hurt! If anything, you can show your support to Jesse and his UrbanAztec flair! Head on over HERE right now and sign away if you want this to become a possibility!
